Week 3

3D Scanning

One TI session we got to try was 3D scanning, I didn't get to take many photos but I really enjoyed learning how 3D scanning works and how it could be very useful to my work in the future, particularly digitally. Although I'm not sure how I personally use this, other than potentially prop design or environment design, I found it a really interesting session. 

We scanned both objects and faces, as seen on the left. The face scanned on the side is a mixture of two other girls in my class, both scanned separately then edited to mix together. Although terrifying, it was really interesting to see the opportunity to scan people as well as objects.
